About the application
Rediff.com has built the RediffMail Professional app as enterprise email app. This APP is provided by Rediff.com and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible at RediffMail Professional unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
RediffMail Pro collects and transfers Email Id/User ID to enable the user login feature. Please note, that the Email Id/User Id is from the RediffMail domain and not a generic social platform such as Google/yahoo etc. It is mandatory as the app does not function without performing a login using these credentials. The credentials are not stored on server and it is used to generate the session to perform further app-related requests. No copy of credentials is maintained on the device. On logout, all the related information is removed from the client and server end.
RediffMail Pro collects and transfers Device ID to identify unique user logic for various analytical decisions on the server side. It also helps in identifying the user session and logging in when needed. On logout, all the related information is removed from the client and server end.
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Email Id, Device Id. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
- To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
- For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract for the products, items or services You have purchased or of any other contract with Us through the Service.
- To contact You: To contact You by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication, such as a mobile application's push notifications regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products or contracted services, including the security updates, when necessary or reasonable for their implementation.
- To provide You with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless You have opted not to receive such information.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. Service Providers
Currently we are not using any third-party services which require processing of the data. In case if any third-party services are engaged in future, it shall be duly notified in this privacy policy.
Social Account
This app only provides email communication and does not record any social accounts related to social media like facebook, linkedin, twitter, Instagram etc.
It only records the alternate email id provided by the user during registration.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Data Deletion
Your data is required with us until you are using the account. You can request for deletion of data which will also delete the account by requesting on this email id customersupport@rediff.co.in
Data Retention & Disclosure
Data may be retained in fulfilment of legal obligations. Also, it may be retained in case of requirement of disclosure of data by the appropriate Government authorities & court order, where in such case the data will be retained only for the purposes of compliance with the orders.

Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
